Endurance vs Hit Points (suggestion for Francesco & co.)

The unique One Ring rules set invites tinkering and secondary creation. Whilst The One Ring works brilliantly as written, we provide this forum for those who want to make their own home-brewed versions of the rules. Note that none of these should be taken as 'official'.

It might be munchkinly, but it also fits a traditional character role: strong warrior cares for and protects weak non-warrior. Think Caramon and Raistlin.

You think?

But I was talking less about creating the tank-like character and more about then making the glass cannon your Fellowship Focus because it's mathematically optimal, as opposed to for real roleplaying reasons.

And yes I know the two aren't mutually exclusive, and yes I know you can even make up a roleplaying reason for doing so. Powergaming and munchkinism must all just be in my head. (Which is comforting, because I succumb to both on a regular basis.)

Whatever.

There comes a point where you can over-analyze and over-classify something. At a certain point you have to accept that something just is the way it is, and further analysis is just getting in the way of enjoying it.

For instance, I bring up Caramon and Raistlin not to make an analogy to defend a particular min/maxing behavior, but simply because the particular combination reminded me of the archetype. I wasn't arguing a point.
