Stinging Arrows for Throwing Spear?

The unique One Ring rules set invites tinkering and secondary creation. Whilst The One Ring works brilliantly as written, we provide this forum for those who want to make their own home-brewed versions of the rules. Note that none of these should be taken as 'official'.

New wood elf magic

Fly the Darkly Blesséd Dart -- Cultural Virtue
(Requires Bitter Spear Cultural Reward and/or a spear as a favoured weapon, and Battle 3)
As part of the initial undertaking to learn Wood-Elf magic, select elven spearmen, the Spiderfoes, scouts of Thranduil's hall, can learn another spell, Fly the Darkly Blesséd Dart. This spell, while only working at night, in forests or underground, reduces the encumbrance of a spear or great spear by two and allows great spears to be thrown at usual spear range but normal spears fly at ranges on par with a bow.

Great spears still need two hands to be used in close combat.

This spell also allows elves to learn the spells Elf-lights and then Enchanted Sleep as per Wood Elf magic. Fly the Darkly Blesséd Dart does not negate Stinging Arrow but they both require a Virtue slot.

Nice thing.
Just a question: is this quiver meant to be carried by a man or by an horse?

And are those actual weapons or designed for making s'mores?

Sure an' it's all fun 'n games 'till a short spear is sticking out of your chest!

I have found some drawing for a cavalry quiver from Roman age.
I looks pretty similar to the Ottoman one posted earlier
