Great to see people joining it. It isn't as easy to navigate as this board but I'm sure we'll get used to it. It *is* the best option though, in my opinion, for discussions like this. Google+, Facebook, Reddit etc aren't anywhere as useful.

If anyone has a Boardgamegeek account, the same one can be used.
I think it's pretty useful, though agreed that not as user-friendly as this one. But good enough still, and dedicated to TOR.
It's also the best choice, IMO.

Nice to see you on board, Falenthal - and everyone else!

Actually, I'm quite enjoying RPGGeek in all its retro glory. Call me shallow but I dig the 'thumbs up' and 'geek gold' you can give posts! :)

:D Glad you made the summoning!

And the Files section on the game's profile will proof very useful, I'm sure.

Great point, yes, it will. Looks like the best choice - like you stated above.

Really sad to hear the new of the forum closing down. This has been one of my few "check at least once a day"-sites. But also glad that Rich was quick on suggesting a new place, that quick acting was really necessary I think. Since I'm an old boardgamegeek hang around this step will feel natural. See you all on the other side!

If RPGGeek is where everybody ends up then I will, too, but I have to say that aesthetics matter to me, and I don't love the look & feel of that site.

All that is gold, does not glitter. Seriously, I think it's good enough, just about. It has dedicated forum (unlike other RPG forum websites), a discussion board presentation (unlike Google+ etc), is an established brand so won't disappear (which would be a risk for independent sites or any we may set up), and it does have cool little funtionality like being able to upload files/documents, geek gold, thumbsup for posts, etc. I'm sure there's more to it but I'm only currently scratching the surface. Considering all those factors and how this decision has been dropped on us with less than one week of notice it's our best option for giving people the things they want.
