Update?

Post by Warden » Wed May 15, 2013 8:32 pm

I just checked my downloads on rpgnow.com, and it tells me the TOR pdfs have been updated as of the 8th May 2013

Is this correct, and if so, what exactly was updated?

Thanks

EDIT: Changed 2012 to 2013

The update probably means they have simply been made available again for download.

I don't know the answer; but just for clarification - do you mean 2013? (not 2012)

I also downloaded my copies, and I noticed a couple of things. The books are now titled "Adventurer's Guide" and "Loremaster's Guide" instead of "Book." The indices have been updated. I don't think any errata was fixed, though I only looked up whether dwarves can use "swords."

Dom or Jon, I hate to bombard you with yet another question about the pdfs, but per Stormcrow's post: If you've updated the pdfs & we already have the originals with our purchases (back before you removed the pdfs), is there a way to get these updated ones? Thank you!

No problem! You can able to download the updated version via your rpgnow account.

I also noticed the name changes from "Adventurer's Book" and "Loremaster's Book" to "Adventurer's Guide" and "Loremaster's Guide." That made me curious, so I looked inside and immediately saw that the documents were edited to reflect the title changes. However, I wonder if there is a list of other things that got changed too?

I did notice that the plan for three core sets is still in the guide, even though it has been made known that the original plan has been aborted for a different strategy. Curious. Why not edit that part too while the editing was being done? New purchasers of the pdfs will get the wrong information about the development of the line. Maybe it just wasn't practical to replace those paragraphs at this point? Or perhaps some other publishing rules are in the way?

Also, can you tell us what has been updated in Tales from Wilderland?

@Jon, everything downloaded. Thank you for responding & letting me know that you updated these, & for the beautiful work on them. As choice as these look, I can't wait for the Lake-town source book or the new pubs!
