Hi, I wanted to use an old fashioned Riddle in my game, I found a few anglo sxon riddles but wasn't sure what the answer was
I have learned that something grows in the corner, swells and expands, has a covering; on that boneless thing a woman grasps around with hands, with a garment the lord's daughter covered the swollen thing. is this bread dough? I know it's not what you are suposed ot think it is.... Also does anyone else have any good sources for old world riddles (things players are unlikely to know which make sense in a medieval setting, answers not being computer related for example) |

I played the "War of the North" on my PS3, and in Bree you meet a hobbit hanging out at the bar of the Prancing Pony who offers to play the Riddle Game with you.
There are about 8 different riddles he uses and they are quite good - and not as vague as the one you presented here. A search online for Tips/tricks to that game, should be able to find the riddles and answers - and you can use them in your game (or some variation of them). -------------------- Robert
