I see there is a lot of talk about sourcebooks (Rivendell, etc), which will be neat I'm sure, but I'm more interested in books full of Adventures (like the Tales from Wilderland book). I'm staring a campaign with my girlfriend, brother, and sister this weekend (starting with The Marsh Bell introductory adventure in the LM book) and then start in on the Tales from Wilderland after that. It looks like each adventure will take about 2 sessions to get through so I'm sure Tales from Wilderland will last us a while, but I was wondering if there are plans to release more adventure books in the future.

I think either Darkening of Mirkwood or Heart of the Wild will have some or one adventure in them. Too bad the GenCon adventure hasn't been published sad.gif

I know, I played that one at GenCon this past year. I had been wanting to buy the game all summer but was waiting til GenCon to try it out. I didn't have tickets but got lucky when someone didn't show up to one of the sessions and I got to jump in and play. The next morning I went straight to the booth and bought everything. I've been squirming to play it since August but I've had a busy semester and my brother is working on his phd so this will be the first chance we have to try it out.

Are there any other adventures from previous events that have been released?

There is the Words of the Wise. It has been removed from the site with all the other PDFs but people who have downloaded it before August have it.

They ran "A Light in the Darkness" at GenCon this past year and I got to play that.

I never heard of that.

It was a special adventure they wrote for GenCon this past year, probably similar to Words of the Wise. I think that was from GenCon 2011. I believe there was a second GenCon-exclusive adventure run this past year (2012) in addition to "A Light in the Darkness", but I might be mistaken. Hopefully they will release those pdfs eventually.

Darkening of Mirkwood will include information to help create a long campaign following Tales from Wilderland. But the material is not presented as prewritten adventure, rather a tale of years with story seeds etc.

There are no other pre-written adventures confirmed at this stage.

The likelihood of those adventures being released as pdfs is very very slim at the moment, since all the pdfs were taken down, most likely (we think) due to the current lawsuit

I'm hoping if there is no chance of pdfs that we'll get a printed version of all these adventures from Gen Cons and other places, eventually.

So far we have:
  • Words of the Wise (Gen Con 2011)
  • The Wood-witch and the Wolf-king (Cancelled Gen Con 2012)
  • A Light in the Darkness (Gen Con 2012 - source)
  • Fell Things in the Wilderland (Gen Con 2012 - source)

I'm gutted I don't have any access to the bottom three adventures.

Why not sell them as soft cover adventure package?

About Eowyn,
Does anyone know what her alias Dernhelm means?

She was kown as dernhelm because of her exclaimation when she realized that the rider's headgear was heavy and obscured her sight.

'Dern Helm"

There was a softcover due to come out after Gen Con 2012 which had "Words of the Wise" and "The Wood-witch and the Wolf-king" - it was canned at the same time as pdfs. I am curious whether they are not allowed to sell adventures offered for free at cons?

I "double-agree" and would pre-order them the instant they became available.

  • Fell Things in the Wilderland (Gen Con 2012 - source)

I was just searching around for this adventure thread and thought to google the two adventures we don't know much about from Gencon 2012 and found the following descriptions -

QUOTE
A Light in the Darkness

"A mysterious malady affects a remote settlement. The only cure is a rare plant which only grows in the darkest part of Mirkwood. Can the adventurers find the plant and return in time?"

Source

QUOTE
Fell Things in the Wilderland

"Can your company of adventurers overcome the spread of the Enemy? 2956, It’s been 15 years since the death of Smaug the dragon, after a few years of prosperity in the Wilderland, the Shadow has begun to grow. Word has spread north that Sauron has declared himself in the lands of Mordor and begun rebuilding his Dark Tower. Here in the Wilderland, the news is no better, something dark and sinister has once again occupied Dol Guldur, a strange creature has been reported in the Anduin River Valley lurking in the night and stealing fish from traps and babies from cradles, an army of orcs and wargs led by Bulgrum son of Bolg and grandson of Azog have been reported in the foot hills of the Grey Mountains, and a great fell beast is said to have appeared in the Mountains of Mirkwood. The Council of the North has gathered companies of men, dwarves and elves to investigate the strange happenings in the Wilderland. Will you join?"

Source

I'm not sure now "A Light in the Darkness" and "Fell Things in the Wilderland" were official C7 events or adventures by fans at the Gencon 2012.

Still, would have been great to have access to them after the event, especially with events it's not practical for me to attend.
