We had our first Fellowship Phase yesterday and it stuck me as strange that at a character creation, weapons skills cost twice as much as basic skills but when spending XP, it's the other way round - weapons skills are cheaper.
I understand this may be to do with the fact that you can earn a lot more advancement points in an adventure than experience points but just thought I'd throw it out there to see what you guys think. vs |

I immediately made that mistake. Remember that you use experience points to buy weapons skills (which you get 1 or 2 a session) and Advancement points (which you get several a session), to increase your common skills, so weapon skills will always improve at a slower rate

Exactly.
Two different "currencies" at work here. XP pay for Weapon Skills and Virtues/Rewards (as governed by Valour and Wisdom). And Advancement points pay for "common skills". /wolf -------------------- "Pain, as the billing vouchsafes, is painful..."
