I have a player wanting to start with the Beorning Virtue Great Strength. It only works when Fatigue rating is equal to or less than 12. This creates a bit of a guessing game as far as Encumbrance goes, since some additional Fatigue will be gained during travel.
Are we looking at this correctly? Any suggestions on how much of a Fatigue buffer to allow so he can travel and stay at 12 or under? |

Some suggestions:
1. The added Fatigue from failed Travel tests is only applied at the end of the Journey. Not during the Journey itself. 2. Travel light. One weapon, light armour and that's it. 3. Get a high Travel skill. 4. Get buddies who can grant you benefits whilst travelling in exchange for beating the snot out of bad guys. Given you have to be in Close, buddy up with Elven archers ![]() 5. Learn to bake Twice Baked Honey Cakes and get Wise. 6. Cunning make armour. 7. Stay home during winter (and do 5.) -------------------- “There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something. ... You certainly usually find something if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after."

Staying at home in winter and eating some honey cakes sounds good
