Regarding this Hobbit Virtue:
It states that if you use a Hope Point to invoke an Attribute bonus, you also remove any penalties from being Weary. So I'm currently Weary. I'm performing a skill (lets say Awareness), and I roll my Feat die, and my 2 Success dice. I get a 5 on the Feat, a 4 on one d6 and a 2 on the other. (Total: 11 or 9 since I'm Weary). I use a Hope point to use my Body Score (4) to add that to my roll (15 success or 13 Failure because I'm Weary); BUT I have this Virtue, so the effects of Weary no longer apply, so I now can apply the 2 I rolled to the total and now I succeed with a 15! So far so good??? So is the removal of Weary penalties ONLY for that skill roll? If YES, does anyone have any experience with this Virtue. Does this benefit really present itself with enough instances to make this worthy selecting? (The next question is moot if the first question was a YES) Or Is the Weary condition gone for good? If YES - what if my Endurance still is lower than my Fatigue Score??? And does this make the virtue TOO lucrative? It seems to me - this Virtue either is rarely if ever applicable (you have to fail a check with enough that your attribute bonus would have succeeded if you weren't Weary and had D6s that rolled low, and that low result would be enough to help you succeed. OR It is way too beneficial. -------------------- Robert

Yes, that's how I go with it.
My players really like it and it's been used a couple of time and more importantly in really critical situations. In fact, the first time it was used sold another player on purchasing it as they failed in the test whereas the player invoking it for their character succeeded. -------------------- 1) The Fellowship of the Free - a TOR Actual Play thread: http://cubicle7.clicdev.com/f/index.php?tr...&showtopic=3424

I'll add to this and say that Hobbit's have a crapload of hope on average, and I think this virtue is designed to work with Hobbits in particularly, as they have a lot of Hope to draw from, and because of the Cultural Perk, contribute to a bigger replenishment pool (which they can hopefully also take advantage of)
