Two quick questions about called shots....
1. When making a called shot, the first Tengwar rune rolled is swallowed to make the called shot succeed, so you need 2 for a great success and three for an extraordinary success. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to have a normal success on a called shot. Is that right? 2. When making a called shot, is rolling a Gandalf rune enough, or do you also need to roll at least one 6 as well? Thanks vs |

1) No (I asked a similar question before). Some examples of called shot (TN 14) Total < 14 and any number of Runes = FAILURE Total >= 14 and no Runes = FAILURE Total >= 14 and 1 Rune = GREAT SUCCESS (you deal Weapon + Body damage and the called shot effect) Total >= 14 and 2 or more Runes = EXTRAORDINARY SUCCESS (you deal Weapon + 2xBody damage and the called shot effect) 2) You need to beat the TN (rolling a Gandalf Rune always beats the TN for a non epic tasks) AND roll a 6 as well. |
