Since this released I have owned it and have been seeking an online game. I still am today.

Is anyone playing this online or would be interested to? Real-time please, not pbp.

Our Sunday game is still ongoing, though we're on a break for Christmas now. We'll be starting again on Jan 6th.

Hi there and thanks for responding. Have you played any of the official adventures? If so, which ones and how far are you into your campaign?

I used Marsh Bell and Words of the Wise in the first campaign, which ran from Oct 2011 to Mar 2012.
Public chat logs

This campaign has been running since July. I've used bits of the Tales from Wilderland as the current company have ranged across the Anduin vale - they're roughly following the Gibbet King campaign, but not as described by the books, with some other threads thrown in. I think we're in the fourth or fifth adventuring phase (currently Summer 2948). The company is currently standing at the gates of Dol Guldur.
I still need to sort out public versions of the chat logs for this campaign.

Would you be interested in playing by using Azrapse's site? It has a chat window and dice roller (no video). It also allows you to save a transcript of the sessions. Are you familiar with it?

I remember you said you were on the east coast, USA. What times are you available each week? Are you interested in playing solo and controlling a couple of characters or do you insist on having other players involved too?

I have a couple of guys I could possibly talk to about playing, but it would take some coordination. I wouldn't mind being the Loremaster and I would use all the published material for the adventures. I don't think I would have time to write new stuff right now. Preparations for a game using the published stuff is enough.

What adventures have you played/read? Words of the Wise is probably the best adventure for beginners. I thought The Marsh-Bell was okay, but I really like the material in Tales from Wilderland. Great stuff!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Which one? I could only really accommodate one more player in my existing game. Though I would be amenable to starting a parallel campaign if there's enough interest.

I am not familiar with that site. Can you link it to me please? I'd suggest that if we do this that we please use voice communication software as well. I use Skype in my online gaming and it works very well. It aids in being able to ask pertinent questions and get answers and it keeps the pace of the game going well.

In addition, I am indeed in the U.S. midwest and am in the eastern time zone. I am available pretty much any time right now except I play in an online Deadlands game over Fantasy Grounds Mondays at 9pm est and an online Barbarians of Lemuria Conan Hyborian Age game Thursdays at 9pm est.

I would be more interested in playing with other players primarily and could easily grab us some extra players if you are up for it. I play with a lot of friends in various games online and don't think it would be difficult to grab some more. Please feel free to talk to your contacts for more players as well.

I really want to play through ALL the adventures put forth for the game so far (Words of the Wise, The Marsh Bell, Tales From Wilderland campain), etc.

In my experience so far I have only gotten to play through the VERY beginning of The Marsh Bell but that shouldn't stop us from running it because I barely got to start it at all before having to drop out of the group due to the meetings being too far from where I live.

What do you think? Do you have good knowledge of the game rules and good knowledge of Middle Earth?

Thanks for this!

Not sure if this would be possible given James' occupation. Is there the possibility of a Saturday afternoon game (start of 19:30 or 20:00 UK time I think equates to a 14:00 or 15:00 start East Coast). I'd love to play The One Ring but, as usual, have ended up running it.

Let's see, 15:00 is 3:00pm (EST). That would make it 1:00pm for me in Arizona (right now). In the spring that will change by an hour, but I'm not sure exactly how yet. Our time never changes in AZ, but I know EST uses Daylight Savings Time. Not sure about UK.

Let me talk it over with the powers that be (my wife and daughter), but I think that is totally do-able (especially for a 2-3 hour session, 1-2 times a month; more than that will get tough to promise). There may be some Saturdays that won't work, but we could just work out a schedule among us, no problem.

@daddystabz, to answer your questions, I think I have a very good grasp of the game. I bought it on pre-order in August 2011. I have been active here on the forums ever since and I have played regularly as well as performed demos at a local gaming store. I also helped create the expanded index for the game, which was very educational.

As far as Tolkien scholarship, I would say I have a beginning to medium grasp for the following reasons. I have read completely through the Hobbit several times and I have almost completed The Fellowship of the Ring. I have read portions of The Two Towers, The Return of the King, The Silmarillion, and the beginning of The Histories of Middle-earth. I have also read a couple of Tolkien biographies, some of Middle-earth for Dummies, and have skimmed a plethora of other books on Middle-earth that I own, but have not read cover-to-cover. These include Tolkien's World from A to Z: The Complete Guide to Middle-earth, The Atlas of Middle-earth, and Unfinished Tales of Numenor and Middle-earth, among others.

We do shift for daylight savings, in line with Europe (dates wise). It's usually a week or so out with the US change.
I tend to use http://timeanddate.com/ to coordinate with my group.
