I'd really like to be able to buy more dice. Like 4-5 more sets.

I do have two copies of the game, and I know how to substitute regular dice, but using the actual dice does enhance the game and make it easier.

I run TOR for my three kids, and with younger players, having the actual dice helps them and improves their experience.

So can you please sell some dice?!?!

I actually made my own virtual custom dice in Dicenomicon, complete with runes and all. I still want physical dice sets for my group, though, and I'm delaying starting the campaign until they're available.

On RPGnet in November, they were stated to have been ordered and being delivered by a slow boat from China. I am surprised that they haven't arrived.

I'm hoping that there will be dice sets in each of the three core sets. Additional sets would be useful too.

Ooh, I've been meaning to do that. Is there any way you can make the files available? it's a great app.

Dicenomicon looks like a great app! It actually makes me want an iPhone just to be able to run that app.

My German is not very good. Since there's no picture with the listing, I'm thinking this is it?

The One Ring Dice Set?

I would appreciate it if someone knowledgeable could and would confirm. When I look up Würfelset, I find that it references dice, so....

I hope this helps someone ... it may me. At current exchange rate, the dice would cost $9.16, before shipping. I don't see a method of shipping to the U.S., though. sad.gif I'll keep looking....

I bought mine here: http://www.f-shop.de/cgi-bin/f-shop/UWV500...yFD5i&mv_pc=232 . I guess they can speak English if you write them f-shop@ulisses-webshop.de .

Skywalker - your shop http://www.sphaerenmeisters-spiele.de/ shows that they are sold out and not available at the moment.

Ooh, that would be a nice idea -- I think they'd have a particular 'caché' if the second and third dice sets were different colours from those in the first TOR: AotEotW box.

But it's things like the news about the German site that really make it worth being on the forum here (and up to date with it -- more than I've been of late :-/ ).

I've just ordered 2 sets from amazon.de, despite the postage costing as much as a 3rd set. Like I say in the TOR review that'll be in the next issue of Other Minds, I do like the sense of 'fellowship' that comes from the players sharing dice instead of each hoarding their own ones... So I didn't get a set each for them, so Amazon.de still has some left!

Big thanks for the pointers, guys. I am at your service, and your family's!

Cheers,
--Os.

It would be great to have some real news regarding dice availability.

I'm seriously considering buying 100 sets and reselling the extras in the US. The fact that this is even part of my thinking process says there's a serious distribution problem. blink.gif

I considered ordering a number of sets to resell, as well ... you may or may not be aware that I own a game store (see my signature line) ... but, the price to order these from Germany, have them shipped to the U.S. and what I'd need to mark them up to in order to make a halfway acceptable profit (overhead is a killer) is FAR too expensive ... I'm talking almost half of the cost of buying the rulebooks WITH the dice included. As far as a distribution problem ... NONE of my distributors have them listed at all ... not even an echo of their availability (i.e., a pre-order status). I'd love to have them to sell, though ... only problem is none of my customers would pay that much for dice!

Did you make some macro do determine the result of a roll? Or are you talking about custom skin for d6 and d12?

The d6 skins are taken from images of the official dice, while the Eye on the d12 is one that I like more than the official one.

At present the macros are just the scripts for multiple dice: they don't automagically recognize Tengwar or G-runes or the like. I wasn't planning to put more work into it, because it's more a "this will be fun to work on for a few minutes" project.

I prefer rolling real dice for actual play, hence my other thread gathering interest to get official dice sets in the US. cool.gif

And despite a longer shipping time than estimated. Mine arrived today! I now own 4 sets of dice and plan to but a second copy of the core book soon, which will make it 5.

Please let us know if/when another order for the U.S. is going to go - cuz I think I would like a second set.

It would be way cool if there was different colored sets so as to be able to roll multiple attacks simultaneously and color code the feat dice to the success dice.

The dice arrived on Wednesday ... GREAT packing, Crafty! Thanks, again!

Put 'em out for sale Wednesday night. None have sold, yet. Have had several folk say they're tempted to buy ... so far, the price tag of what I need to charge is the issue ($15.00). At present conversion rate, that's still commiserate with the price quoted on Cubicle7's site, factoring in shipping to the U.S.

If I can't sell 'em before Xmas, I know what some friends will be getting. wink.gif

Good to hear!

The biggest worry I had was that C7 would get dice to the US faster and cheaper than our plan. As the newsletter indicates, that ain't gonna be the case. wink.gif
