Can Elves starve to death? I can't seem to find any information on this other than they probably don't need as much food as other races.
Don't ask me why I need to know this silly information. It has to do with a small detail in an adventure I am writing. -------------------- Please visit my blog, Advancement Points: The One Ring Files, for my TOR Resources

On several occasions Tolkien talks about the Eldar (as his most important elven sub-group), and here he always refers to the hardiness of the Elves. In the end however, they have to eat and drink as men - even if less than the latter and much more resistant to lack of food or water. He does not give any numbers for this resistance, but for the Calaquendi, I'd give them at least about three times (perhaps even more) the endurance against the lack of food and water than the average man has.
