What do you think should be the modifier to hit something in complete darkness?

Loremaster Book p.48 Complications - states:
+4 - ... or in darkness / ranged: protected by darkness

"houserule":
In complete darkness I
- wouldn't allow ranged attacks, except maybe
- - lucky shots (*)
- - a successful Awareness roll & a fairly silent environment (TN 14, louder areas +x)

- would expect in melee fights from both combatants at least an Athletics roll (TN 14) before the attack (defender lowers his defence, because he trips, if he misses the roll - for example -2 to combat stance TN)

lucky shot (*):
- the necessary TN must be beaten
- gandalf rune must be rolled on feat die (edge rating of weapon counts not on this roll)
- to check if it's also a piercing blow: Reroll feat die and use for this 2nd roll normal piercing blow rules (AB p.161)
