As it seems that xp are easier to come by than ap, I believe it behooves players to really think about the common skills they choose at character creation because they appear to be harder to increase.
It is easier to become a brave swordsman (Valor/ Weapon) than it is to become a highly skilled explorer. I mention this as I posted the weighing skills thread and this is also something to keep in mind when building characters. -------------------- About Eowyn,
Does anyone know what her alias Dernhelm means? She was kown as dernhelm because of her exclaimation when she realized that the rider's headgear was heavy and obscured her sight. 'Dern Helm" Culled from Entmoot From Kirinski 57 and Wayfarer. |

I think the secret to earning Advancement points is really the Loremaster. Loremasters need to provide ample opportunities for Tests and encourage their players toward good roleplaying by using their Common skills through initiating Tasks (see page 148 of the AB).
To do this, they really need to grasp the basic requirements for earning Advancement points found on page 30 of the LB, realizing it is the responsibility of the Loremaster to judge whether a player has done something worthy of an Advancement point. In addition, page 53 of the LB reminds Loremaster's that encounters are a great time to gain Advancement points because they are less dangerous than journeys or combat. God bless you all! I haven't posted in awhile because I have been extremely busy and am now on vacation to see family. Looking forward to much more interaction here in the near future! -------------------- Please visit my blog, Advancement Points: The One Ring Files, for my TOR Resources
