I tend to play online using virtual tabletop software as my old gaming ground is scattered around the country and I've built up a new virtual group over the years. I'm in the process of building what is known as a ruleset - a set of sheets (Character Sheet / NPC / Combat Tracker) that overlays the basic software to support the playing of a game. My personal preference for virtual tabletop is Fantasy Grounds.
This is for my own use, but I've previously been allowed by game developers / publishers to release the ruleset so that others are able to use it. Is this something that Cubicle 7 / Sophisticated Games would allow? Community rulesets do not contain game rules, but may contain some slight automation - such as dice being thrown when you double-click a skill. There are commercial sets around as well. These generally contain the game rules within what is known as a module. Modules are attached to the ruleset and display in the library within the software. Are Cubicle 7 / Sophisticated Games considering a commercial FG2 release for The One Ring? If so, I'll not release this as a community set and go and talk to Doug Davison of Smiteworks. -------------------- Current EU RPG Group Games: European FG2 RPG Friday (8pm to 11pm UK time; Ultimate License) - Classic Traveller Sunday (8pm to 11pm UK time; Ultimate License) - The One Ring: Adventures over the Edge of the Wild Using Ultimate FGII and can accept unlicensed player connections on some of the games. ----------------- LOTRO - Brandywine Server Halbras - Hobbit Hunter / Jonab - Bree-folk Captain / Ardri - Dwarf Guardian / Halaberiel - Elf Hunter |

Looks fantastic mate! I may really try to get FGII working on the Mac. Though the VERY rules light nature of TOR should make it run very well in G+ Hangouts...I really should give that a try one day (in case my normal home group's TOR test falls flat)... |

I use Fantasy Grounds as well and would encourage Cubicle 7 to allow things like this to be available. Online play is effective and fun and having even a little bit of game specific customization only makes it better!
That's very well done Valerian! |

The character sheet is going to get its first real play this weekend. I'm going to be running the introductory adventure with the pre-gen characters in our group's Sunday slot. So far, I've got three (maybe four) players out of a possible six. I'm using a FG2 Ultimate license, so if anyone is interested in joining in they would be welcome.
