For the Cubicle 7 gang:

I am going to my old Philadelphia gaming group's annual reunion in Vegas next Wednesday, and I've said that I would run The One Ring for them. Work-related crises are going to make it difficult for me to produce my own scenario before I leave, and I'm not sure that "The Marsh Bell" is going to be enough to fill the time allotted to me to run.

I know you all have been talking about placing the Gen Con scenario for the game on the website. Is there any chance of that happening before next Wednesday? It would be greatly appreciated and would allow me to show off the game to a bunch of gamers who haven't yet played it.

Thanks!

Rob

You could try Shadow Over Dale. You would need to convert the stats but you can probably plug in play most elements from the TOR books direct.

I would recommend Day of Unlight too, but I ran it in less time than Marsh Bell.

A final option is to run PC Creation rather than Pregens and then Marsh Bell. TOR's PC Creation is actually a fun experience and I managed to do it with 6 players in just over an hour.

Where "Day of Unligh" can be found?

Its an old White Dwarf scenario for MERP. Someone here made it available, but I can't recall who.

There's also the MERP book for Lake Town, it has everything you need from the history to flora and fauna, it's pretty good. Its weird that I wasn't into this game at the time. This was published in 1995 I didn't know how recent MERPS was I always thought it was something from the 70's. Good stuff for this new game.

Correction: it's in the White Dwarf #64, but thanks for the tip! :-)

Dawn of Unlight is in WD64 - I may get around to doing a TOR conversion some time soon.

Its pretty simple given that many of the monsters are already statted. I swapped out Cultists for Orcs (mechanically anyway) and the Wights for Great Bats.
