Seems a bit late, but I had the opportunity to play The One Ring at gencon in August. We played an adventure where there was a cursed sickness that had befallen a settlement and we had to find the cure. It was amazing fun and we all had a great time. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what it was called or if there was any news about maybe releasing it as a pdf like Words of the Wise?

Also, if anyone else played, I'd love to hear their thoughts. and how it went. I feel like our party had some pretty chaotic characters and did some very unexpected things.

For the moment all pdfs to do with TOR are on hold, for the foreseeable future. There hasn't been any change to that news since just before GenCon sad.gif

If you saw the adventure at GenCon 2012 then you are among the lucky few on this forum wink.gif

No PDFs but I'm wondering why are they not combining that one or two GenCon adventures, Words of the Wise and the Wood-witch and the Wolf-king and print them as another adventure anthology. Since they already got the material ready. I don't have much time to prepare my own stuff during these days and I think Tales is a brilliant adventure book so I would be more than happy to have more.

Combining those sounds like a brilliant idea! I'd be happy just to get my hands on Tales, but $500 US (it's current price on Amazon) is just a tad out of reach for me.

Anyone know when it will be available again from Cubicle 7? It says "Available Now", but I can't seem to locate it after it directs me to DriveThruRPG.

What? 500 USD?! I remember buying it for 20 something when it first came out.

I was told by a Cubicle 7 employee that Tales was out of stock, but they have another run coming in the next month or two.

That is ridiculous. I have seen Tales on shelves of at least two game stores I have visited in the past month.

Contact At Ease Games in San Diego. They have a copy on the shelf. I don't know if they ship, but give them a call, they might be able to help you out.

The Cubicle7 store says this about Tales From Wilderland:
**The product is temporarily out of stock in the US and Canada until the next batch arrives from the printer - due February 2013** Game Line: The One Ring

I bought the core set in December and have played through the beginning adventure in the LM with my kids. We don't want to wait another 2 months (because February really means March) for a book that's been out already for several months. I just wish I heard about this game sooner. At least I was able to get the Laketown source book and LM Screen - both are wonderful products. I can't wait for the other new releases this year.

If it helps...

We presently have a copy on the shelf and will ship anywhere. If interested, call the number from the link in my signature and ask for Rose (my business partner ... she does the ordering and shipping). If Rose isn't available, give your name, shipping address, and contact phone number to one of our employees (Ronnie or Rickie) and Rose will call you back with pricing info. Please mention you're from the forums, too.

Lastly, our distributor still has it listed as being in stock in 3 of their 4 distribution centers. It's far from being a rare collectible.

Unicron,
Since Nov 2012, someone posted the names of the two Gencon adventures. However, I cannot recall the adventure names, the topic name or which forum it was in. Searching isn't exactly being kind this time around. But for whatever it's worth, the names of both Gencon adventures are listed somewhere in the forums.

I think it only contained the names and no other info, but that is half of what you requested.

Garn!
I have yet to read the books thoroughly.
