This is an evolution of Templar72's original doc's that he posted a while back. So huge Kudo's to him!
I've started to put together a GM Screen that I think is a little easier to follow (for me anyway ). It's far from complete, but I wanted to show it off and get suggestions from everyone here on what they might like to see. Suggestions and requests are most welcome. I want to make this as good a product as possible to tide us over until we are graced with the Official GM Screen. Link at the bottom of the post -------------------- |

I strongly approve of your decision to go with a landscape format.

Lol,
That's one thing I definitely won't change! Landscape is so much better for a screen as it allows you to actually see the table! -------------------- |

It's really very nice and well made, and I too prefer the landscape format.
Looking forward to see it complete! Thank you, Kaltharion! -------------------- Your humble servant,

Good job. Thanks.

Very nice.
How about adding a list of all the skills. I still have to lean over and look at the enarest player's character sheet sometimes when trying to decide what skill would best cover an action. And a list of actions available in a fellowship phase. And in the Shadow section, you could have a simple list of the endurance and special abilities of each enemy - just enough to wing a quick encounter when combined with the list of weapons you've already included. And one last thing - you've used a slightly larger, bolder font for table headings - it would be easier to instantly see where tables start if you gave that row a different background colour IMO. |

How about putting the special maneuvers (Intimidate Foe, etc.) for the various stances in the combat section?

Having all the PCs weapons, called shot effects and ranges in one place would also be nice.

Link has been updated with version 0.2! Thanks for the suggestions everyone
Still a WIP, and some charts have yet to be finished, but its definitely useable! I would like to try to keep this to 5 pages maximum, anything else is just overkill. I'm looking over the Fellowship phase now and trying to determine the best way to squeeze it into page 1 or 2. I think its best fit is on page 2, but we'll see how it goes. Added: Master Skill List Combat Special Maneuvers Collated Master Weapons Table Abbreviated List of all the Enemies of the Free Peoples Tables have been updated with a different header color Please let me know if you see any typos, formatting errors, or especially if I got any rules wrong. Trying to simmer the rules down to a concise tidbit has been a bit of a challenge -------------------- |

I think that under Travel Roles, "Skill used for Fatigue Tests" should be "Skill used for Hazard Tests".

Ah, thank you. I clumped the the fatigue rolls and the hazard rolls into one... That has been fixed and will be part of the next version I hope to post in the next day or so.
Of course, after seeing the news on Tales of Wilderland, I really hope this "project" of mine doesn't last for very long. I'm really hoping the OFFICIAL LM Screen sees the light of day shortly -------------------- |

Ok, I updated the link with the most current copy. I've decided to go with a 4 page spread and I've gotten rid of the parchment backgrounds for the tables as they took up way too much space. This is still a WIP, but its coming along
Note: Even though the Fellowship phase is on page 1, I think I'm going to move it to page 2 so that it sits with encounters and journeys. Hope you enjoy, and if you have any comments or suggestions, PLEASE, post them. It will only make this better. Kal -------------------- |

And... DONE! whew
Ok, here it is. The final version of my GM Screen. I think I've covered everything that a GM would need during a game as well making it at least organized well enough to figure it out. So without further ado... TOR GM Screen v1.1 This link will remain live until C7 announces the release date of their official GM Screen. Once that happens, I will remove the link once the GM Screen is three months away from release out of respect for Francesco and C7. If you see anything that I messed up (I really tried to cut everything down to only the meat of the subject), OR if you think something else would be better placed instead, please let me know. Thanks and ENJOY! hmm... what to do next??? -------------------- |

Looks great!
I like how you've highlighted the conditions that have a mechanical effect (weary, miserable, etc.). I noticed that the Eye was a bit skewiff in the BOUTS OF MADNESS box. Also, how about noting that boats/ponies halve fatigue gained from failed travel rolls in the FATIGUE FROM JOURNEY section. Finally, very nitpicky but... shouldn't the weapons in the WEAPONS OF THE ENEMY section be capitalised like they are in the other weapons table? Good work, though. I'll definitely be printing this out before my next game. vs |

Thanks for the compliments guys
Void, thanks for the keen eye! I knew I would miss something! I will post an updated version tonight when I get home from work. I should be able to fit Ponies and Boats in the Fatigue section without too much difficulty as well as fixing the formatting of the Weapons entries. Picky are we? As for that stupid eye... grr. Can't believe I missed that. -------------------- |

Very nice work. I'll be using this for this Friday, official GM screens are seldom this good.

Thank you for the compliment!!!
I must say though, that I am really looking forward to C7's TOR screen. If it's as gorgeous as the core set, it'll be worth it. I just saw a hole that needed to be patched until a more permanent solution presented itself. And like I mentioned earlier, I will take this down, so it doesn't conflict with C7's screen. I WANT TOR to succeed, and I want as many official goodies as I can get my hands on! -------------------- |

I'm looking forward to it as well. The production values on this game have been top-notch. I'm just saying I may be pasting your GM screen on the inside...
