This is probably just me, but I found myself missing advancement opportunities and I don't think I granted as many points as I should have. It was a bit hard for me to leave the story and think about the game, if that makes sense.

Anybody else find this happening? Any advice? I'm honestly a bit concerned, as someone who plays well but doesn't happen to make good rolls or play to his traits may not get many points. I'm considering letting players swap traits at the end of the session just to match up with how they play.

Are you a GM? If so, leave it to the players to suggest when they get Advancement Points.

If a player, its a little more difficult. Try focussing on only a few of your main traits. Try writing them large on you character sheet (yes, silly but it can work).

I agree that it's really up to the players to keep track of this but I find myself prompting them when I remember. Maybe a reminder at the beginning of each session is in order?

How many Advancement Points are people finding "typical" per a 4-5 hour session?

This is also the hardest part about the game for my group. Neither I nor the players are catching all of the opportunities for Advancement points. We're averaging 1-3 points per 3-4 hour session. I've been awarding a couple of bonus points at the end of each adventuring phase to cover the ones we missed.

Well, that's basically what I do, especially with new players. I 'recap' the highlights of the adventure awarding a couple of points.

So, the general average is about one AP per hour of play. Thanks.
