Are there any benefits for a great or extraordinary success for Fatigue Rolls? Or, are there any ideas for any if there are no official ones?

About Eowyn,
Does anyone know what her alias Dernhelm means?

She was kown as dernhelm because of her exclaimation when she realized that the rider's headgear was heavy and obscured her sight.

I just did a search (fatigue) through both the AB and LMB and saw nothing about great or extraordinary successes on a Fatigue Roll.

As for possible affects, I'm not sure that it makes sense to use them as this might prove unbalancing. However, if you want them anyway, my suggestions would be:

Great Success: The character finds a better way to balance the load of equipment that they are carrying for the day. At the character's next rest opportunity, they recover an additional half point (0.50) of Fatigue, up to their max endurance, non-cumulative, regardless of Wounded or injured status.

Extraordinary Success: As above, but add a whole point (1.00) instead. Alternately, add a half point over the next two days provided the Party has not arrived at a destination.

This bonus cannot be applied if the character fails to rest within 24 hours of the successful roll. No knowledge or skill is permanently gained; items consumed since the success have made it impossible to repeat this balancing feat.

For combat purposes, the character must be inflicted with an additional half point (or more) of damage before adversely affected.

Thanks for your reply. I could not find any info either and I wasn't sure if was a poor search on my part or if just was not there.

I recommend just assigning an Advancement Point (first one) and go on.

Loremaster's Book, p. 28: "Usually, heroes don't get additional benefits for overcoming tests with a greater degree of success: what really matters here is if they pass the test or if they fail it."

I realize you asked, but I thought my answer made you aware that there were no official Great or Extraordinary Successes because per the RAW, none were needed. Apparently my answer to you did not make that clear.

That was why I answered your second request - the one for ideas. I assumed, for whatever reason, that you wanted to implement successes and were looking for suggestions.

Sorry about the confusion.

No problem. You have been more than helpful with your responses in this board.
