Since there's been no word on when dice sets are arriving in the US, we've been exploring some alternatives.

My group is considering placing a large order of dice from Germany. If enough folks are interested, we can get free shipping. That's pretty much the key.

At that point, it's just flat rate shipping via USPS to individuals in the US who have bought in.

Right now that works out to $10 per set + $6.95 flat rate shipping box that will hold about six sets for your local group. If it's a go, you can PayPal the total with your mailing info, etc.

How many of you would be interested and for how many sets?

I would buy dice, but what the heck happened here? I thought C7 had some coming out?

I've been hearing "slow boat from China" since October.

Apparently, all the "loose" official sets were shipped to Germany to compliment the hardback volume sold there. There are still sets available there, which is where I planned to order.

Sometimes with licensed games things become so complex that they cannot be easily explained, and the risks of trying to do so outweigh any possible benefit. In this vein there's a few things we've had to be tight lipped about of late. Most of them are actually positives, though silence is understandably easy to read as a negative.

I'm truly sorry I can't pass on any more news at this time.

I will go in for 6 sets. Please PM me and I'll coordinate the payment.

Thanks, Crafty!

Thanks for giving us a little something, Jon. It does make me feel better.

This gave me a strange image of the Tolkien licence department going through approvals on the TOR dice. smile.gif

Ah well, at least the dice are available in Germany so I am satiated.

And your post made me think of a meeting in a darkened conference room ... pipeweed smoke in the air...

If there is another "dice run" in the future, I would be good for 3 sets.

I just got my forum access today, so I missed the order. I would be in for three or four sets if there is another order or if they become available in the US.
