Merry Christmas to everyone here, and many thanks for the great reception you have given to The One Ring!

Special thanks go to all the industrious folks who write here in the forums - I have read many entertaining and very useful posts around here since the release of the game... Please keep writing, commenting, inventing and expressing your love for everything Tolkien: 2012 is going to be a great year for us!

Buon Natale a tutti!

And the same to you. Thanks for giving us another Tolkien RPG! A good and happy christmas and successful 2012 for everyone.

Let's show that Tolkien-RPGing is hardly a negligible part of the community and industry! It just entered a new dimension smile.gif

Thank you - and to you and all out there in TOR land as well.

Certainly one of the more special gifts this year that I have enjoyed was getting to enjoy our first TOR session yesterday (me as LM); but what made it so special is that my daughter (11) played (a hobbit) and marks the first time she ever joined us (my wife has been playing RPGs with me since 94) in a game.

It was quite wonderful, and she had a wonderful time. The rules are simple enough for her to grasp, and the setting/material is engaging enough to draw her in.

I look forward to so many more great sessions.

Thank you and merry Christmas to you too!

I've been showing the game to some of my gaming friends. Hopefully we'll have time to play between now and new year. Some were quite impressed and the fact that The Hobbit is due for next December raises a certain interest for the time period and locales described in Edges of Wilderness that might not have been there otherwise (at least not with the younger generation of players who never red the Hobbit and know of LotR mostly through the movies).

happy holidays!
