Does anyone know of a decent Ranger of the North culture homebrew?

My party spent their fellowship phase in Rivendell after finishing Those Who Tarry No Longer. They saw a young man named Estel training in swordsmanship with a blonde elven lord named Glorfindel.

My one player, Ratt, being of about the same age as this Estel, struck up a friendship with him. When Estel learned that the young Rat had crossed the Misty Mtns, besting both orcs and trolls, to assist the Lady Irime, along with Elrohan and Elrohir to safety, he demanded of his foster-father that he be given the chance to get true field experience against the enemy.

It was decided that the precocious Estel, having turned 16 years old this year, should join the party on ranging mission into Rhudaur to learn of the enemy's movements further North in Angmar.

Out of game: As we lost my brother to his latest aging rocker project (a new power trio in which he plays bass guitar circa Geddy Lee), I, as LM, am going to play a "Character". Amroth, his Mirkwood Elf, has seen too much shadow is going to take the White Ship into the West along with Irime. I have decided it would be fun to play Aragorn at the beginning of his adult-hood, and so I need a template from which to stat him out as a PC. This will give me the opportunity to interweave my players' stories with the development of Aragorn and see what happened in his formative years.

A guy called Diogo Nogueira did one a while back. For my own game I did some very slight edits to the numbers and made the names of the Backgrounds a bit more evocative than his original version - at least in my opinion! It all looked pretty good, but I never playtested it:

Note: I think these Dunedain are mechanically balanced with the other PC races in the RAW which may not be desirable to some but it's easy to tweak the numbers if desired.

Thanks Rich. I might have known it would be you to post such a thing :-)

Couple questions:

1. I noticed there are no rewards on the PDF, is that a drop-box mistake or did the author not include them?

2. What were the slight variations on numbers you did? I think I counted 22 common skill points which seems high to me and their cultural blessing that gives them a +3 bonus (or valor) to attack rolls when fighting agents of the enemy seems really good to me.

Heh! Well it was mostly Diogo's work - I just altered bits!

There should be 3 at the end on page 8:

Blade of Númenor (Long Sword)
Armour of the Rangers (Leather Corselet)
Númenórean Steel Bow (Great Bow)

Just opened it on dropbox and it looks okay to me.

Mostly the Background names and, I think, a little more information. Can't really remember though - it was a while back.

I think there are 23 skill points which puts them slightly higher than the cultures within the RAW. May be wrong, have a cracking headache at the moment! Should really be in bed but I'm GMing tonight!

You mean the Cultural Virtue, "Enemy of the Shadow", yes? ... It is rather good but it is limited by only being available when in a Forward Stance so I think it's okay.
