Just out of curiosity. Any of you guys play the new LotR LCG from FFG?
I figure since you are all LotR fans you just might. I do.

If so are you on the FFG Forum, and what's your handle over there?
(Mine is the same as here. In case you feel like "friend"-ing me.)

I have it, played a few games and really enjoying it smile.gif
It was a struggle to find the first expansion set, Hunt for Gollum, but hopefully will be able to get rest.

I'm timbolton over there, I try to keep it simple and honest wink.gif

Friended you.

Yeah I struggled with HfG myself, bought the last pack in town and called myself lucky.

The second one is not yet released here... sad.gif

I play FFG's LotR-LCG too. (Here's a link to the game in case others don't know this jargon: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite.asp?eidm=129 )

I have played it solo, and with 2 and 3 people, and have really liked it. For me it's a little like a mini-adventure simulation in middle-earth, with neat semi-randomized quests, treasure and allies to acquire, s to quest through, and monsters to deal with. I love the artwork and the flow of each turn, it takes my imagination back to Tolkien's world.

On the FFG forums, I have the same handle as on this one, and on the LotR:Online official forums I go by mr_toad ... huge difference I know.

Hey Ghost...I've been playing it since go-live. Haven't tried the newest expansion as of yet, but I do own it.

My FFG handle is "radioboyeric".

Have you tried any of "NINJADORG's" attempts at scenarios for the LOTR LCG.
They work really well. That is his handle on the FFG and on BGG. Great stuff in case you haven't tried them out.

Cheers.

Indeed I have not tried those... maybe I should look them up.

But we have been playing this game like crazy since it was released.
One could call us LotR: LCG junkies for sure... if three days pass without at least two or three Quests have been tested we start to shake and moan.

Not bad considering we all have family and jobs to handle simultaneously. ;-)

(We're a bunch of wrinkly, old farts wink.gif )

The first 2 months or so consisted of me playing this game solo like a madman!
My wife would just stare at me from afar, throwing me scraps of dinner. My 3 year old daughter frightened as if she caught a glimse of Gollum.

All in all, a great game.

Just ordered my copy from Book Depository. Gotta love free international shipping on board games. smile.gif

Ahhhh did we manage to spread the corruption? Or were you planning to order it anyway?

I was interested, but this reminder and Book Depository turned it into a buy.
