I was trying give my players a sense of scale for Mirkwood, so I told them it would fit the whole of England inside it. I was just guessing though, so thought I'd see for sure...

Well, it turns out you can fit a lot more than just England in there!

Actually, I just checked the scales again, this time using the scale from a Google Maps map rather than a random image from the web and you're right. it's pretty much exactly the length of the British Isles.

(I re-uploaded the image so the pic in my first post should be the new one now)
