Most humorous TOR moments?

--------------------
About Eowyn,
Does anyone know what her alias Dernhelm means?

She was kown as dernhelm because of her exclaimation when she realized that the rider's headgear was heavy and obscured her sight.

'Dern Helm"

Culled from Entmoot From Kirinski 57 and Wayfarer.

The best one from my game so far:
A gemstone has gone missing during the Council of the North and the company has been asked to investigate. Following a lead, the Hobbit character breaks in to the chambers of a lord in Dale. He knocks something over, making a noise, and a guard investigates. The Hobbit tries to hide under the bed, but again fails in the noise stakes. The guard tries to get the Hobbit from under the bed.

QUOTE

The guards doze, leaning on their spears. You sneak past them and listen at the door. There's movement within the chamber, you hear a scraping noise.
Trotter will try to peer into the rooms-trying the door
The door is unlocked, and opens with a slight click of the latch. The room inside is a richly dressed bed-chamber, with a sitting area for meetings. It is currently unoccupied, yet you saw the occupant enter earlier and he has not left since.
GM: The bed does have curtains. It is possible that he's there.
You knock against a side table in the darkness and a water flagon hits the floor with a clang. Water spills over the floor, soaking the rug.
GM: There's a knock at the door
Guard: Lord Erland?
Trotter casts about in panic
Trotter in desperation hides under the bed-its a standard in farces
You crash in to the table again, making more noise. The latch of the room lifts and the door opens. A guard stands in the doorway, his spear ready.
Guard: Lord Erland? Is everything alright in here?
Guard casts about the room
Trotter: (ulp)
Trotter thinks to himself-where's Lord Elknickers then?
Guard spots that the drapes on the bed have pulled under slightly. He lifts the drapes with the point of his spear.
Guard: What? What are you doing in the chambers of Lord Erland? And where is he?
Trotter has no choice but to lie very very still
Trotter is faces with a spear point at close range
Guard: Come out of there
Trotter: Palace securioty -special division Q- and STAND TO AATTENTION
Trotter: Where indeed is Lord Erland;I would like to know-hmmm?
The spear is removed and the guard backs off slightly. He chuckles slightly at your attempt to browbeat him.
Trotter puts his hands on his hips
Trotter: Thats better my good fellow-now then lets have a look here
Trotter looks at the bed
Trotter: Not there is he?
Guard: As would I. Yet what could a small holbytlan do to the King's Councillor.
Guard: However, you are in his chambers. For that, you will be spending the night in the King's dungeons. The councillor can deal with you on the morrow.
Trotter: Oh bother-this is really unfortunate-a fine guard like you bringing his promising career to such an untimely end
Trotter: Hmm-what shall I do about all this then
Trotter: I'll tell you what I will take a note of your diligence and pass a good word on to my friend Gloin-how does that sound hmm?
Guard: You can come with me quietly, and spend a night in the dark. Or you can struggle and spend a night in the dark with many bruises.
The other guard is now standing in the doorway of the room
Trotter: Well if you insist-such a shame-come on then I haven't got all night
Guard escorts you to the dungeons, where you are given a relatively comfortable cell on the first level.
Trotter wishes he had Uncle Bilbo's magic ring
Trotter stretches out on the pallet and contemplates his surroundings
