I found this nice sketch of Lake-town on the web so thought I'd share here in case someone finds it useful (see image below).
[Edit] Linky to article it was in: Esgaroth Caveats: In The Hobbit, the town is torched by Smaug and subsequently rebuilt in a different , so this is only one version of Lake-town. In point of fact, there could be three different versions, as The Hobbit says that ruins of an earlier town could be seen under the water near to Lake-town/Esgaroth. -------------------- |

Nice!
One question: this is Lake-town before it's burned by Smaug, right? |

It's a lovely drawing and when OM nee with the beautiful painting from the LM book, it's easy to get an image of Laketown into focus for the players.
@ Brooke Yes, I would say that this is Laketown pre Smaug, unless C7 don't provide a map in the GM screen. Then, of course, it can be the new Laketown. |

Definitely LT pre Smaug. I know because I have seen the map/painting of the new one, and it looks different... Francesco |

Oh, Francesco, you have me salivating for the Lake-town sourcebook. So excited for that. Tales from Wilderland is great, and my group definitely enjoyed our first session with the book, but what I really want to see are new playable cultures! |

The excellent Paul Bourne is working on it right now, so, getting closer and closer. I can't wait for you all to see Jon Hodgson's painting of Frida, daughter of Finnulf, the new pregen belonging to the Men of the Lake culture! Francesco |

New pregens = new win. New female PC pregens painted by Jon Hodgson = new triple win -------------------- “There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something. ... You certainly usually find something if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after."

One reason Jon Hodgson's art is so good is that it can almost be used as a map in and of itself
