Suggestion... maybe we should start to move our conversation over to Obsidian?

I'm easy either way tbh. I think we can leave the setup of the campaign here - it helps to showcase the system to others to some extent. I'd actually almost prefer to move the AP over to Obsidian, and I can post links here... But one thing at a time...baby steps an all that |

It just dawned on me that with only four Heroes we will never really have use for two Archers... And since I'm the last one in I should be the first one to change... maybe I should rethink my skills a little...

So... drop Bows to 2, add 1 to Long-Hafted Axe, add one to Riddle
(Bows) - 2 Long-Hafted Axe - 2 Riddle - 2 And the rest is as it was. I think that balance out, right? /wolf -------------------- "Pain, as the billing vouchsafes, is painful..."

Nope... a sound nights sleep and I re-thinked my concept a little.
Since Archery is out I might as well go the full distance and make him an Axe guy instead. But since Axes have a more brutal feel to them I decided to change his Calling and overall concept as well. I also wanted to step off some of the Favoured skills I shared with the other Woodsman player, cause overlapping is boring and I don't want to hog his spotlight. Still a Woodsman though, and still has a Hound, and I still would love to have a common history with the other Woodsman character. Name: Wolf Goodman Culture: Woodman of Wilderland Standard of Living: Frugal Cultural blessing: Woodcrafty Calling: Slayer Shadow weakness: Curse of Vengeance Specialties: Anduin-lore, Beast-lore, Orc-lore Distinctive features: Hardened, Wary Body: 4 Heart: 5 Wits: 5 Body (favoured): 7 Heart (favoured): 6 Wits (favoured): 7 -Common Skills-

Sounds good mate - mayhaps you're character is known as The Houndsman then? |

Another Woodsman, I like the idea; more so now that I have a good choice for my Fellowship Focus.
We should put some collaborative thought into a common history; the suggestion sounds good to me. Maybe you could be a slightly older kinsman whose shadow I walked in while growing up? Not that you were over bearing, but maybe so much more...well, the Houndsman to use a suggestion from the LM? But, you were always kind to me and, in that I found a way to grow like the birch sometimes will in the shadow of the oak. That might tie in some of your character generation choices (e.g., not wanting to take the spotlight where Sparrow might play a significant part) to our common history...? |

Sounds good to me, I wrote a short bio on Obsidian but nothing is written in stone so I can easily change. Options for you if you want to fit into that bio with only minor changes: - You can be a younger son of my fathers cousin where I spend my formative years longing for revenge and training for hunting orcs. That would make you my second cousin. Maybe you stowed away in the horse and cart that took me on my way and I found you when we had travelled for two days... now you are my responsibility... even if you're only a year or two younger than me. - You can be my younger brother... maybe you don't have that many memories of mom and dad, but I can't leave you with Grimwold (Fathjer's cousin) you're the only family I have left so you have to tag aong. - You could be from a farmstead nearby where I grew up. Maybe your family fled the attacks as well and we all made it to the same haven? - Something else? /wolf -------------------- "Pain, as the billing vouchsafes, is painful..."

Just taking a quick break from the joys of learning cost accounting This looks good mate Harbold looks like he'll be a very interesting tie-in to the rest of the group So I'll get him up on the wiki tmrw - then we can finalize the fellowship...and I hope to have the first real post then up at some point before the end of the week if all goes well Thanks all! I'm really looking forward to this! |
