There's a shop in the UK called the Works which does discount books.
On my last visit I found two sheets of A4 canvas printer paper for £0.24 and I just printed the players TOR map on it. Admittedly, the size makes it a bit tricky to read... not impossible. But on the plus side, it makes a really cool players handout with the canvas texture. |

I made this for my TOR group:
Its deliberately worn/crumpled - actual size is the same as the fold out map found in the box set. They mark their trail with a red pencil. While we're doing it we all sing the Raiders theme. -------------------- 1) The Fellowship of the Free - a TOR Actual Play thread: http://cubicle7.clicdev.com/f/index.php?tr...&showtopic=3424

Looks good. Makes my mini map look kinda pathetic.
How'd you get that done? |

Printed out approximately each of the quarter sections of the map on an A4 sheet, with some overlap between them. Stuck them together using those overlaps then folded it up and crumpled it. Sat on it a few times... Finally I took the gas hob to it and burnt it along the edges to give it that worn and weathered look. -------------------- 1) The Fellowship of the Free - a TOR Actual Play thread: http://cubicle7.clicdev.com/f/index.php?tr...&showtopic=3424

I printed out the original from the game at FedEx/Kinkos. It's native size was 17"x22". I did not give mine the worn look, but I like it. I had mine laminated since I sometimes run a game for a second group. I think it cost around $35 USD.
