Is the Weary condition applicable to protection tests (from armour) as well? Can't seem to find a relevant description in the book (in the positive or the negative).

It applies to Protection tests.

(Incidentally, that makes helmets extra valuable since they don't add dice.)

Silver lining: The way we've interpreted it in our game, the Weary effect kicks in after that attack occurs, so it does not apply to an injury that makes you Weary. But with subsequent injuries being Weary makes you more vulnerable.

It applies to Protection tests.

Can you point out where that errata is discussed here on the forums?

I would have thought that armor doesn't get weary and is therefore not affected. The Protection test is about whether or not armor effectively stops a wound.

The rules for being Weary say it applies to all Success Dice for any test. (Or has that been changed in errata to not apply to Protection Tests?)

I think the idea is that a wearied character cannot roll with the blow as effectively. Your ears are ringing and a trickle of blood is clouding your vision from a moment ago, when an Uruk-hai dented your helm with his broadsword. Also, you're having a hard time breathing, thanks to the troll's club that caught you square in the chest. When that goblin's arrow comes whistling at you, it becomes difficult to twist just enough to let your mail shirt catch the arrow at an angle, rather than hitting you straight on and punching through. Of course, you are still wearing that armor, so you might just get lucky.
