I found an interview with Dominic McDowall from C7 where he goes into a bit of detail about one of the first campaign packs for the game! Notice I said one of them...there are going to be multiples!
He says specifically: "We wanted a starting point that had a good amount of blank space. There are certain things that we know: what happens in Dol Guldur and Southern Mirkwood. We know about Beorn gathering the outcast and the wildmen. There are loads of really fascinating points like that but there are also big blanks to fill in. For example, one of the first campaign packs we will be doing will be about the reoccupation of Dol Guldur and what happens around that. That will be very interesting, but it also gives the characters something they can actually do that really makes a difference in the world and they can have an epic story line without treading on the toes of The Fellowship." This sounds awesome and I'm very excited. You can read the interview at the link below. Interview |

Great find!
It absolutely sounds awesome, Dol Guldur plays an important part in the War in the North that happens around 3018 TA. Just a thought, but since our characters will have such an investment in the area, perhaps we'll get to come back during the third box release and assist in the northern War - Rivendell, Lonely Mountain, Elevenking halls, Dol Guldur - they all see conflict. -------------------- 222 off being the Devil member |
