I noticed that the Lake Town supplement had a blank sheet with the various automatic values (Cultural Blessing, Starting Common Skills etc...) already filled in.
I think this is a really nice touch, especially for new players (I have a couple of those, in addition to my veteran RPGers), which could greatly speed up character generation.

Are there downloadable version of both the Lake-Men sheet, as well as possibly other (Base 6 Cultures/races) ones?
If not, perhaps one of you fellows with far superior layout skills might throw one together?
I downloaded the House Rules doc, and, honestly, it looks 'official'. Perhaps whoever was in charge of creating that awesome package?

I'm not sure if you've encountered one of the best fan efforts for TOR, Azrapse's TOR - Online Character Sheet.

Azrapse has done a great job in scripting a character generator for use by the community. Playing with it should help understand character gen, if there is anything the text has left unclear. In this respect it acts as a self-study tool.

There is one vague area: "Damage" on the Sheets is meant to be used for Damage Rating. The vague name arises from TOR, not Azrapse's efforts.

Other than that, there are a few customizations that online usage has suggested to the original TOR Sheet. These can be seen in the extra boxes for Hope & Encumbrance related numbers.
