You can use Staunching Song only if the target (yourself or a company member if you expend 1 Hope) has been Wounded?
So, if the target was hit for 4 damage and Wounded, he can regain Endurance. If the target was hit for 24 damage, but not Wounded, he can't regain Endurance. Is this correct? |

According to the AB description the character must have been "Wounded" with an upper-case W, therefore, the song can't be used to recover endurance unless a literal wound was suffered.
-------------------- "He is bold, more bold than many deem; for in these days men are slow to believe a captain can be wise and learned in the scrolls of lore and song, as he is, and yet a man of hardihood and swift judgement in the field. But such is Faramir. Less reckless and eager than Boromir, but not less resolute."
