In the Adventurer's Book, page 134, under the Staunching Song heading, it reads:
'Additionally, your injury is considered to have been treated successfully'.

Does it apply to ANY result of the roll, or ONLY for an extraordinary success?

I read "additionally" as saying - "In addition to the above effects..." I would rule that it covers every instance since you have treated yourself, whether with a general success or an extraordinary success.
