The last update I got (yesterday) was that it was waiting to clear customs in Atlanta, and should do so imminently. From there it has to get to our warehouse, be booked in, unpacked, and sent out. Non-US and Canadian orders are fulfilled from the UK, which adds in a week or so as we bring the books over the Atlantic.

If we clear customs today, we should get the US & Canadian orders dispatched by the end of next week, and ther rest a week or so after that.

And my copy will remain pristine as I have just finished Tales from Wilderland, having exhausted an awful lot of yellow ink cartridges printing it one adventure at a time!

So that leaves me feeling confused! ('I was never confused')

No more PDF's means no more printing!

No more PDF's means waiting longer and having to soil the books by using them!

The One Ring was the first rules set I read cover to cover on iPad and having a searchable PDF is really useful, but thankfully, we have the index now.

PDF or print only, I look forwards to future products in the TOR line.

Not going to be of help to you but maybe for others it could be... If you print it out in greyscale you'll save on your colour ink cartridge.

This is one complaint I have with the PDFs. The "book" look is really pretty; especially for Yggdrasill, but I wish they would include a print friendly version as well. But, I guess grey scaling would even it out.

It has for me buddy - made a MASSIVE amount of difference to my ink consumption. I know its obvious but it didn't dawn on me immediately so thought I'd share it just in case others are in the same position.

It isn't that obvious. I just thought of it when it was pointed out to me here on the forum about 15 minutes ago. smile.gif

Interesting bit of trivia I once heard, not sure if it is true or not. But, apparently on a by volume basis printer ink is more expensive then oil. blink.gif

Anyway, I'll try the grey scale and see what that does.

Not only that. Crude oil is not that expensive in comparison. But the (original manufacturer's) ink is even more expensive as Chanel No. 5 of the same volume... (at least that's what I read sometime ago).

EDIT: Got it. It's quite an old news, but either I read it back then or it was quoted in another media. So, in 2005, one litre (extrapolated; usual fill was said to be about 8ml) of ink cost 2875 EUR. A litre of Chanel No. 5 less than a third of it...
Here is the link to the - german - newspaper site I'm quoting from.

Cheers

But it will make your printout smell odd and us role-players get enough grief about what we do without being accused of smelling like a french tart!

Mind you... that's not a bad idea...

Some people I have met at gaming conventions think soap is a TV program, not something found in a bathroom, so RPG books that smell like a french tart would be an improvement wink.gif

Edit: My printout of TfW is worth its weight in gold... coloured ink!

Just a quick note: TfW arrived this morning on our doorstep. Absolutely beautiful in-hand, it arrived via UPS...

I'm in Atlanta where the warehouse is located...

Just a quick word to say that, so far, Tales from Wilderlands is working really well for my group. I was afraid that some of the stuff would be a bit far fetched, like some of the suggestions for solving "Of leaves..." but my players thought of all of them. Either they're reading the adventures behind my back or they're very well written smile.gif

Mine arrived today. I was afraid it would come in an envelope that the mail man could stuff and cram into my mailbox, but it came in a heavy cardboard box, well packed. Beautiful book, nice job guys! Having the PDF is cool, but doesn't do justice to the final product

Mine arrived today as well! Just a few minutes ago, actually. Quite the pleasant surprise tongue.gif

I'm in Ohio, in case anyone is curious about when the shipments are arriving in different regions.

Nope. I emailed C7 about it a couple of days ago and they said there was a bit of a delay but they were expecting them to arrive in the next few days.

Mine arrived today. Pleasant surprise. I'm in NYC. It came in a giant box. The book was not shrink wrapped. I thought that was odd. Anyone else had that experience?

Other than that: BEAUTIFUL. BEAUTIFUL BOOK.

Thank you.

Non-US orders take a couple of weeks more for C7 as they ship those orders to the UK warehouse.

My copy of The Laundry was shipped like that (big box, shipping foam, no shrink wrap.) Not that it was a problem, one less thing to throw away.

That's totally a plus from my perspective. Less packaging is ALWAYS a good thing.

I should add: No shipping foam. The book was just banging around in a big empty box. At least, if it was shrink wrapped, the corners of the book may have been spared.

Just got my copy. It came in an oversized box with a wad of paper, but not other packing. I have to say I'm disappointed and dissatisfied.. I don't like my books coming per-banged up. Please correct this for Lake Town. These books are expensive and it's not unreasonable to expect them to be treated with care.

Yep, me too. Mine just arrived (I'm in the U.S.).

It's a beautiful masterpiece, but they just tossed some paper in there & the book bounced around - the corners are dinked.

I have to say for all of the time we've waited, this is a bit disappointing. I'm all for living as green as we can & reducing our impact on the environment, but I sure hope they're going to pack our future orders better. This doesn't seem to be in any way an unreasonable request, especially after all of the other problems.

Ditto as far as packaging concerns go. My book came in the big box w/ wad of paper others have described. Thankfully, there's only one small ding in it, but more professional shipping packaging would have been appreciated.

Sorry to all those whose packaging wasn't up to scratch, that is expressly against the instructions I have given to our US fulfilment people. I will be raising this with them ASAP - it's something I feel very strongly about.

If I remember correctly, the "European" books are firstly moved to the UK, then sent to the customers.
So I guess we can add a week or two.

I'm sur one of the cubicle 7 people will post a message then.

Yep, from what I recall through various comments there seems to be two shipment points: USA and UK. I would imagine USA is handling the western hemisphere (USA, Mexico, Canada, South America, etc) and the UK covering the rest of the world.

Could be wrong, as I'm not interested in physical product I didn't pay particular attention.

For that matter - will it ship from US or UK warehouse?

Also, I should say that aside from the packaging, TfW is excellent!

Tales From Wilderland has landed in Boston!
My book arrived on Saturday. It came in a banged-up box, partially stuffed with paper, but the book itself is in great shape. Lovely!
