Is anyone aware of possible TOR games/gamers in the Lafayette, Baton Rouge Louisiana area?
That would be about 200 miles west of New Orleans as the crow files.

I am in Baton Rouge and would love to play a game of TOR but unfortunately I could never play it with my regular group. We have too many casual players who may or may not show up and when we do play, it's usually hack and slash instead of any real role playing.

Thats interesting, I am going through a similar situation.

I have been notified by my gaming group that after 15+ years of GM'ing Middle Earth using ICE's MERP, my services will no longer be required.

Apparantly one of the players has "become tired of Middle Earth" and convinced the other two to call it quits on Middle Earth gaming.

The upshot of it is that I was slowly introducing TOR and he was resisting it with everything he could muster.

Now he has convinced the others to have a GURPS game on my gaming slot and drop Middle Earth altogehter.

I wanted to play TOR because I am still in love with Middle Earth, either as player or LM, doesn't matter
