The area I am pondering over now is the subject of traits. On page 95 of the Adv book it says what a trait can do.

Here are some thoughts:

How would you handle the hardy trait with fatigue rolls?

Explore with with region lore?

Thanks,

HN

About Eowyn,
Does anyone know what her alias Dernhelm means?

She was kown as dernhelm because of her exclaimation when she realized that the rider's headgear was heavy and obscured her sight.

Same principle as with any other Trait.

If the Journey is long (with lots of rolls already) and a PC with Hardy was doing OK so that failure of the rest of the journey wouldn't have significant consequences, I would allow them to use Hardy to ignore the last few Journey rolls.

If a PC with Region Lore wanted to know something that didn't have significant consequences of failure in that region, I would let him know it without a roll.

Alternatively, a player can use this Trait to come up with new and unusual ways of using Skills that somehow relate to his knowledge of the Region. For example, maybe the PC can use Stealth in the Region even if it would not normally be possible.

Search isn't working for me either. I've added to the thread on the Cubicle 7 forum.
