Errantries of the King and War of the Ring for 2012 and 2013.

Guesses are that EoK cover early LotR period and Eriador and WotR cover late LotR period and the south i.e Rohan, Gondor and Mordor.

Well, if the next two are as well done as this one I'll be pretty happy. So far this looks like my favorite LotR RPG, and I own a bunch of 'em.

Was there any mention in the new release, I couldn't see as I skimmed through or when I did a search.

Upcoming stuff is discussed in a blog here -

http://www.cubicle7.co.uk/2011/04/cubicle-...s%E2%84%A2-rpg/

So as well as the two mentioned above, the general idea is we'll get...
  • Rivendell Sourcebook
  • Campaign Guide
  • The Errantries of the King (2012)
  • War of the Ring (2013)

More information emerging from videos etc.

The One Ring: Wounds and The Future

Not 100% sure what Dom says after he mentions the Mirkwood campaign set, but I think it is a "couple of other cool things planned."
  • GM Screen with Lake Town booklet (and map by Jon Hodgson)
  • Adventure Anthology
  • Campaign Guide - Mirkwood
  • Rivendell Sourcebook (Still on the cards?)
  • The Errantries of the King (2012) - focused on Aragaron's journey to become king
  • War of the Ring (2013)

The release schedule has made think about the pacing of the game.

Based on information in the Loremasters Book, I'm guessing that the Darkening of Mirkwood book will be set 5 years from the campaign start.

The assumption seems to be that one adventure will occur every year, but I may run a series of episodes spread over the year rather than one long single adventure.

It would be useful to know, for long term planning, in what year Errantries of the King will begin!

Presumably War of The Ring will be set no more than a couple of decades before the events of Fellowship of the Ring, perhaps only a few years.

Anyone have any thoughts? Or better yet, inside information?

It is not clear from that video whether the Adventure Anthology and Campaign Guide are different products.

Yeah, agreed. Though the campaign setting has been mentioned before outside of any adventure book.

Was just looking through the appendices of Return of The King.

In appendix B, The Tale Of Years, (page 371 in my Unwin hardback) it has an entry of interest...

2957-80 Aragorn undertakes his great journeys and erranties.

That suggests book two, Errantries Of The King begins then...

So we have around 11 years of game time in 'Adventures Over The Edge Of The Wilds'.

That gives me a time scale to work on for my campaign!
