Everything is so beautiful and the game is so great, but there is one MAJOR complaint...the book binding is so darn cheap!!! After a short while the glueing is already falling apart and pages become loose. That really upsets me sad.gif Why after putting so much work in the game did 'they' become soooo cheap with the binding????

I am going to have to spend $25.00 to have the books spiral bound ohmy.gif

Can't say I've had the same problems with mine. I lay it open/flat on a table regularly and no pages are loose or have fallen out. Mind you, we can never really know how others 'treat' their books OR that there are differences in production quality. There's always going to be some variance. Sorry to hear that yours isn't holding up though.

My books and the books of two of my players (and up until now only two have the books) have equally bad bindings as MrHemlocks. I'm very careful and don't lay it flat open on a table - something I realy like to do. wink.gif
And it's really the glue, the binding with the threads is good, but the pages aren't holding at the spine. That's most unfortunate for such a great product.

No matter how long ago they were purchased? ... If so, just... ... wow... That's awesome customer service. Don't know what more to say. Awesome.

It's why we ask for proof of purchase and a photo. If it's a year old and been through the mincer, then no, we reserve the right to politely decline a replacement. However recently purchased books that suffer the occasional, but recurring, binding fault should and will be replaced.

We're still tracking these, and we're confident the numbers are still a fraction of a percentage point of TOR books printed that have had binding problem.

Missed the bit about proof of purchase, sorry. That's still pretty amazing though!

... Worth looking into King Kull and MrHemlocks? Could be that you can get a replacement. Good luck.

I suffer from this too. I used acid free glue specially designed for books to fix it. I'm librarian, so I have those kind of resources around. biggrin.gif

I don't think it is a particular problem of some users, but it seems to be a general one because binding glue from factory is really weak. Maybe I'm wrong and need more feedback.

Mine is like that too. But I can't really be bothered with a replacement. It takes too much time and I really don't open them like flat anyway.

Do you use Lineco? I've had some older GW books fall apart and have found that (and some clamps) to be sufficient. Almost good as new.

Jon, what's the time frame we're looking at here?

My set is a preorder set but up until a few months ago they never left the box. They are still in very good shape but the last section of pages in the AB (Where the Pregens are) is basically ready to fall out. I've never even really used those pages and I don't lay the books flat, or even open them if I don't have to.

Hm, I have my invoice thrown away, as soon as I have received my package and the books were in good order - at this time. wink.gif
But thanks for this offer.

Hi Tensen,
Send us an email. There's no fixed time frame - it's case by case.

Thank you sir, I will do once I can take a picture.

Also, I don't have the physical invoice but I have my receipt e-mail and I know my order number. Should I maybe just forward that in the e-mail?

That's weird. I've had my copy for over a year now and it looks good as new every time I look at it on my iPad...

Oh.

Ack! You can have it. I recently tried running a very short opening game for Judge Dredd using the pdf on my tablet and all I can say is that nothing beats having the physical book in front of you. Even if it is falling apart.
