Zed's Magic Thread

The unique One Ring rules set invites tinkering and secondary creation. Whilst The One Ring works brilliantly as written, we provide this forum for those who want to make their own home-brewed versions of the rules. Note that none of these should be taken as 'official'.

Ok, cool. I was almost certainly going to go with this one... I just was playing around and blowing off some steam (from a completely non-TOR related source).

This "Magic" system is very well thought-out and thoroughly Tolkienesque, even if the smallest element is incorporated into a campaign. I hold you in the highest regard as a contributor to this forum, and I wish I could participate in your games...All the best.

That's very kind of you. Keep an ear out, if you're up for PbP games; we're getting close(r) to the end (of the adventure) in one of my games.

And, yes, this will get finished soonish... work has been kicking my butt this week, so it might be another weekend or two until its done. But it shall be done!

The Art of Warding. Page 11 has been redone too, just for layout (no content changes).

I have some thoughts as to a "How to represent Wizards" but I might actually replace my 'table of contents' on page 2 with that. So still need something for page 12...

Raising the Dead, please!

Or forging Rings of Power!

Or a boring summary of magic rules and a list with all the spells available.

The art you're using is spectacular. Great choices!
Adventure Summaries for my long-running group (currently playing through The Darkening of Mirkwood/Mirkwood Campaign), and the Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

The first post has been updated with a file containing the (currently) final version as a PDF. Feedback highly desired, as always.

Updated first post again, with a low colour version to save inkjet cartridges. Even though it is two colour, you should be able to print grayscale only and get good results.
