The unique One Ring rules set invites tinkering and secondary creation. Whilst The One Ring works brilliantly as written, we provide this forum for those who want to make their own home-brewed versions of the rules. Note that none of these should be taken as 'official'.

Okay, here's an updated version of the rules, formatted for less ink usage:
Or in PDF Format:
The One Ring - The Attention of Sauron
Hope folks find it useful. And, as always, feedback please!
P.S. A full-colour version of the above is included in the next version of the Magic rules, which will likely be the final version of my rules. At least until something changes.

Finally taking a look at this at home (where I can actually download it and see it) and you did an outstanding job, zed! I'm looking forward to trying things out when we play on Friday!
Adventure Summaries for my long-running group (currently playing through The Darkening of Mirkwood/Mirkwood Campaign), and the
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

Awesome! Let me know how it goes, especially how much Eye Awareness goes up, and for what reasons (if you can, no worries if you can't).

Results from our session last weekend:
The "cushion" between scores ranged from 6-9, and nobody triggered a Revelation Episode.
Out of four players, one person got an Eye on a roll of Travel, another got one on a Riddle test, and a third (the one with only six to spare) rolled four Eyes (for a Preliminary Roll of Lore, and for Stealth, Travel, and Hunting).
Those were the only Eye rolls outside of combat.
Hope that helps!

It does. Were there any other triggering activities? Like moving into another region or using magical abilities or fighting the enemies of Sauron?

No, to be honest I forgot all about the moving into a new region (that would have given at least one more). Nobody used any magic, though, and no enemies of Sauron faced.

...fighting the enemies of Sauron sounds like a typo.
Unless something very strange is going on, I wouldn't expect to see PCs throwing down with Gandalf or Aragorn.
As for fighting the servants of Sauron...
I guess that's another reason High Elves attract attention fast. They've got an 'Enemy of Sauron' specialty that helps them hunt down things like Nazgul and other powerful servants.

It can be a useful skill when you get those quests like "Collect 9 Nazgul Rings" as part of the quest chain for your legendary weapon. Heck, you can do it while waiting in the queue for some PvP.

The next cool quest would be to recover the 7 rings and the 7 hoards from the 7 great wyrms throughout the North.
