Woodland Bow Specialisations
After buying the Woodland Bow Cultural Reward, you get two shots as part of opening volley.
Weaponry of Cruel and Cunning Craft
By spending one experience point as part of an undertaking, your elf does not need to be defended to use her or his bow and if bows are favoured, you can use it to block an opponent's weapon blows: Apply a +1 to parry when you forfeit an attack.
You can also use your Woodland Bow as a Close Combat weapon: Damage 4, Edge Rune, Injury 16, Encumbrance 1.
You can either get the Parry bonus or attack with the bow but not both in one round. The bow can be endowed with qualities as a close combat weapon.
By the Whites of Their Hate-maddened Eyes
By spending one experience point, your character can shoot a bow from the Forward and Open stances but suffer the same TN to be hit.
Fearsome Rage (Requires Weaponry of Cruel and Cunning Craft or By the Whites of Their Rolled-back Eyes)
By spending one point of experience as part of an undertaking, the player can now spend a point of Hope and gain Courage points equal to to her or his Valour rating (see Taking Courage pg104, Adventurer's Companion). However the courage points can neither be used by other characters nor exchanged for experience or advancement points at the end of that combat scene.
