I love how dark it's becoming. I think it captures the plight of the free peoples really well.

Also, regarding lands west of the Misty Mountains and what could be covered etc, especially the lost dwarven cities, does anybody happen to know what, if anything, is going on on Himling?

My ideal long-term campaign would start out fairly light-hearted, but would turn darker and darker.

The darker tone is perfect for DoM, but I expect I'll want to turn to some lighter themed adventures afterwards. (Before turning to a doomed expedition to Khazad-dum )
