Hey, everyone. I'm new here and new to TOR. I bought the Adventures Over the Edge of the Wild recently as it piqued my interest in having a true Tolkien-esque experience in a tabletop roleplaying format. A problem I'm encountering is finding ways to join games to play.
I don't exactly have many friends that play tabletop RPGs and I'm not very good at meeting new people.
Does anyone perhaps know of a site, not unlike roll20.net, where people are actively looking for players/games to participate in? I'm excited by this game and really want to play and expand into the other books. I don't want my investment to go to waste.
I live in America, with an EST timezone.
I'd appreciate any help I could get.
Thank you.
Ways to find games?
Re: Ways to find games?
Welcome!
You'll love this game.
Since you're already familiar with Roll20.net, a number of people have shared about their games. Here are a couple of examples (if you scroll back you can find others):

I appreciate the help! My next question is... are there more than one, One Ring G+ communities? I found one, but I'm not sure if it's the correct one or not.

Re: Ways to find games?
I'm running One Ring via roll 20, "Land of Shadows" campaign, Saturdays 4P-8P EST, but we have a player who can't make it to sessions who might be dropping, since he hasn't been around for multiple ongoing weeks.
We aren't really recruiting for that slot yet, because we have a full 9 Roster, and a guy who expressed interest two weeks ago right after we closed it for recruiting.
There is another group on Roll20, with characters actively looking for a Loremaster to run for them on Saturdays. They have posted here and on Roll20.
Finding people on Roll20 was not too hard, I just posted looking for players, and they showed up over about 4 days. So many that I had to kind of make a list for those who didn't get characters together.
Posting here, I got one response from one player who is a GM that never gets a chance to play. So he joined.
I have a friend who is a mod at penandpapergames. Maybe put up an ad there. And there might be others on sites like mythweavers, or Obsidian Portal. Online support sites.
Good luck.
