Instead of flying, how about something to do with Eagle Eyed. I.e., a step (or six) past Keen-Eyed, that grants vision over great distance, even ignoring little logistical nuisances like curvature of the earth?

Thanks elfcrusher. I got an idea that stems from your suggestion. The idea is that she, anytime during the day or night can go into a meditative state that grants her the ability to get a bird eye view of the area, like she is flying over it. For instance it could help her find someone she is looking for or see the guard patterns in the fortress the heroes are about to invade.I guess that should cost one hope. Its different from the bear skill because she can do it anytime and that she gets an overview picture of the area. The nightgoer skill has it advantages, you could peek into a window or search for footprints under the forest trees. What do you guys think?

I think it's a narrative game and all fictional and anything you think is cool...is cool.

I loved that earlier list of animals, by the way.

I really like the idea of getting a bird's eye view, though personally I'd try to think of a way to make it not 'whenever she wants'. If it's something she can do willy nilly then getting lost is no longer an issue, which basically negates the point in having a Guide in a party at all

I like the bird's eye view idea too. I don't think it would replace a guide if she has to spend Hope to use it.

Be aware, though, that in no time she'll attempt to find Rivendell with it :)

Does Elrond's magic hide Rivendell from eagles? Hmm?

It presumably hides it from crows.

Thanks for the input! Maybe I should make some time restriction or geographical restriction on the birds eye view? Like during a minute or I km in every direction? I think a hope is enough, and if your in the middle of Mirkwood it might help you in some way but you will probably not see so much with the thick canopy.

I think you should just use Loremaster Creative License to keep things fun for your players.

And remember that the Enemy likes to deceive.
