After some thought, I'm wondering if I should give Tales from Wilderland low priority on my purchase list, seeing as many folks who are into TOR have already played through much of those adventures? What do you all think?
Depends who you're running it with; even though Tales from Wilderland was one of the earlier releases if you're going to run the game with friends/RPers who haven't played them then the book is definitely worth it - you can weave them into the other adventures found within Darkening of Mirkwood to create a fantastic campaign.

I think Tales remains valuable even if players have worked their way through some of the adventures. Some of my players have completed Tales but I am introducing characters and elements from the story in different contexts and situations. Besides, Tales is geared toward beginning players and LMs, so you may find the adventures useful as a guide even if you do run them as written.

By the way, my dark-haired, older son Frank and impetuous, younger son Joe send their regards. They are eating pie with Aunt Gertrude and mulling over a case.

I (finally) get the Hardy Boys reference; I think I missed one earlier.

Let me just add that Tales from Wilderland is one of the best RPG products I've ever played/run.
