I like my games to be Heroic, but it’s not about emulating the films. I mentioned before, in a different thread, that there is so much good stuff written for TOR that it seems a shame that my players might not get to take part in it due to a Great Orc and a couple of his mates inflicting a TPK on them.

Besides, if I find that an encounter has been made too easy, I can always add a few more of the Orc’s mates to spice things up.

No, but favoured armour 4D with 7 attribute and Great size can be pretty close. Right?

Not all that close. Piercing Blows aren't all that uncommon for skilled archers. Especially if they are doing called shots.
