What happened to the wish for rules for large Battles and Sieges? That was the given rules addition when Gondor was discussed in the forum before. That is still my nummer one wish for the book except for the regions (a lot of inspiration could be taken from James R Browns Mythic battles).

I think we can acknowledge that there could have been (mostly illegal) brothels without needing to explore the concept in detail.
I see no problem with the idea of gambling halls in Pelargir or the lower levels of Minas Tirith. I don't think that anyone has seriously proposed that dentistry would have existed as a profession, but broken teeth, impacted teeth and infections would have to be addressed in some manner by physicians or other healers.
I was just trying to get a laugh, not re-open that debate. But, no, I don’t believe we can automatically acknowledge that. It depends whether you prefer to think of it as a simulation of a realistic human city, or a narrative location in what Tolkien calls Faerie. I’m for the latter.

The subject has been brought up; it just isn't being widely discussed (so far).

If I am perfectly honest, I don't have much interest or expectations at the moment, we've still only scratched the surface with DoM, and with LoD and Moria on the way, it will be years till we get to Rohan, Gondor, or Arnor still...maybe if it includes some new rules which might prove vital, then I'd be moderately interested.

Yeah, I really agree with this. Given the choice between more content for Arnor or Gondor, I would choose the former. More adventures! More interesting LMCs! More story hooks! More artwork!

I'd also love more about Arnor.
But to stick to the thread topic, I think, as suggested above, Gondor is too big for one book, and possibly even for two. The only reason Heart of the Wild worked is that there are very few settlements there (and even then, while I liked it, I think it was a bit light on detail in that regard).
I imagine three books:
Northeastern Gondor, land of the Sun and Moon
Anorien, Ithilien (North and South), Lossarnach, Minas Tirith in detail, ruined Osgiliath, Minas Morgul. Plenty of political intrigue in the city, and subterfuge in a region under the shadow (Ithilien).
Southern Gondor, land of rivers and the sea
Lebennin, Dor-en-Ernil, Belfalas, Tolfalas, Harondor; the cities of Pelargir and Dol Amroth, and towns including Linhir, the elves of Edhellond, and Ethring. Sea battles and piracy, hidden coves and harbours, merchants and smugglers.
Western Gondor, land of stone and shore
Lamedon, the Ered Nimrais, Pinnath Gelin, Anfalas, Andrast and Druwaith Iaur. Settlements such as Calembel and Erech. The Pukel men, the ancient mountains and the heart of Gondor, Numenorean ruins and the wild coast.

That is true, but once enough other regional books are out, I can see starting a new adventure with a new fellowship in western Gondor and have them slowly work their way east, seeing more evidence of the Shadow as the years pass and they get closer to Mordor, rather than the way we mostly do it now, working from east to west, because that is the order the books have been released.
