One of my players would like to unseat the evil Lord of the Toft Vidugalum (who I may have made even more evil than he is in the book). In addition to the Orcs, he's fairly wealthy, has competent warriors, and control of his region, and probably support from one of the Nazgul at this point in the Darkening of Mirkwood campaign.
How would you work this up as a series of activities, both downtime and adventuring phase? I would think there's a bunch of stuff they have to do, sequentially or in parallel, to make this happen.
Thanks!

Re: Unseating the Lord of the Toft
We could really use more information on Toft, couldn't we? In my campaign there was an agent from Toft in the Folk-Moot in Rhosgobel, and he tried to poison Morgred to create confusion and to prevent a dangerous alliance... he failed, but the suspicion was enough for agravate Mogred (he didn't need much anyways ), and his joining Woodmen came to nothing.
Now I am contemplating that Tyrant Hill should ally itself with Toft, since they're not that far away from each other, and this would strengthen their positions enormously. And they seem to have very similar moralities anyways...
